Tim Howard Warns about Swansea Boss Bob Bradley’s Quality

Tim Howard has warned Premier League fans that they should not take new Swansea manager Bob Bradley lightly.

There may be a tendency to look Bradley with a hint of suspicion given that he has not made his name at the top level of the game. Instead, Bradley has focused more on the MLS football and the United States national team. Coming straight into the Premier League requires a lot of skill and talent, which Bradley possesses in abundance according to Howard. The former Everton goalkeeper knows a thing or two about the manager after having played under him with the national team over the last few years.

Howard is also a greatperson to judge the quality of a manager, as he has experienced some of the best in the business like Sir Alex Ferguson from close up. He has also played under the likes of David Moyes, Roberto Martinez, and Jurgen Klinsmann. The long list of top-class managers to have used Howard as their first choice goalkeeper has infused the player with many lessons about management. Bradley needs to be successful from the word go, as Swansea are struggling in the Premier League even at this early stage. After having taken just one win so far, Bradley saw his new team suffer a narrow 3-2 loss againstArsenal.

"Bob is not a pushover, and I think that will surprise so many people who don’t know him. He’s the most forthright coach I’ve ever played for. You know where you stand. He tells you. He shoots straight between the eyes, good or bad. Players love that and appreciate it. If things aren’t going great, he’ll tell you. But if things are going really well, he’ll also tell you that. With Bob you never guess, you never have to guess where you stand,” said Howard.
