Paris St Germain defender Thiago Silva has said that he expects Barcelona to be at their best when they face each other in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Tuesday night. He has said that his team should expect the unexpected when facing the four-time European champions.

This will be one of the stern tests for PSG in their efforts to reach the semifinals of the competition. This is the first time they have been in the quarter-finals after more than 18 years.

After spending a lot of money on high profile players like Thiago Silva, PSG are expected to provide good competition to Barcelona. The Brazilian defender is also regarded as one of the best in the world. He has said that it is imperative that PSG get a good result against Barcelona in the first leg itself, which will provide them hope that they can clinch qualification in the second leg. Due to the fact that the second leg is at the Camp Nou, Barcelona will be the favourites to progress into the next round.

Aside from focus on the Champions league, both teams are also trying to win the league title as well. Barcelona are a massive 15 points ahead of their arch rivals Real Madrid, while PSG have a five point advantage in the table.
