Tim Howard was linked with Many Rumors
Not too long ago there were rumors being spread around which linked Tim Howard with a possible return to the MLS but that just doesn’t seem like it’s going to happen as the veteran goal-keeper of Everton signed a contract extension with the Premier League club which runs up until 2018 and the player himself has admitted in saying that he wants to retire by playing what is left of his career in Everton.
"It's the club that I love. It's been a brilliant relationship with myself and the chairman and both managers and with the fans. It's a place where I can achieve the things I want to achieve and push myself every day and I am still hungry for the game. All of the questions I have been looking for in my career have been answered here. So I think I would like to finish here and then be done.’’ Tim Howard said as he revealed his desire to continue performing with Everton.
Tim Howard has been going through a roller coaster ride in his career during these past 10 months as the experienced American shot-stopper made a superb campaign in the 2014 World Cup as he was even called up by the U.S. President Barack Obama who congratulated Howard for all of him impressive performances and for representing the country.
The impressive performances from Howard helped United States edge past the group stages which was a remarkable achievement taking into consideration that they were pitted in a group that had: Germany, Ghana and Portugal all competing and United States was not expected to survive.
Even though Howard is 35 years old, he has expressed his desire on playing and representing his country at the international stage on a few more occasions and Howard is hoping that he can be part of the U.S team that qualifies for the upcoming 2018 World Cup which is going to be hosted in Russia.
